The Way of Cain

 

Cain was the first born from the fall of humanity and the first born murderer, who acknowledged the existence of God, practiced religion but did not rely on the Word of God.  Cain offered his sacrifice to God his own way and on his own terms.

Two sacrifices were made with two different attitudes of heart, one with an attitude of faith (Abel) and the other an attitude of unbelief (Cain).  God did not accept Cain's offering and he became angry and Cain's unrighteous anger turned toward his brother whom he murdered for his brother's offering was righteous before God.  Abel was the first person to be murdered and martyred for righteousness sake.

There are two ways and two paths that you can travel - broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be that findeth that path and narrow is the way that leadeth to life (eternal) and few there be that findeth that path.  The way of Cain leads to destruction, banishment from the presence of God, bondage and slavery to sin, lawlessness, false religion and unbelief and many will go in his way.  Many are walking and living in the way of Cain today, they are lost and hopeless, but you can change and walk in the way of Abel, the path of righteousness and faith and be in the presence of the Lord and have eternal life forevermore.

Will you connect to Christ through the way of Abel, a way of faith and complete dependence on God and His word that will not pass away.  Abel was a man who lived in obedience to God, whose life and offering was pleasing to God because he had faith, without faith it's impossible to please God!  Abel took the narrow way, Cain took the way that seemeth right in his own eyes, but led him to death, cursed and separated from God.
