Preparing for the Return of Christ - Surviving the End Times!

Jesus said that as lawlessness increases, the love of many will wax cold (Matthew 24:12).  He said that in this hostile atmosphere, many professing Christians will "fall away" and proceed to cooperate in the persecution of their former brothers and sisters in Christ (Matthew 24:10).  Paul says the same thing, that people will be "haters of good" and they will be "brutal" and "reckless", reviling those who stand for righteousness (2 Timothy 3:2-4).

 

To be ready for the return of Jesus, he must be your master!  You might say, "Jesus is my savior, but I haven't made Him my Lord yet", but there is no biblical evidence to give you comfort with such a condition.  A person can truly be saved and yet fall into sin and every true Christian struggles against the world, the flesh and the devil on a daily basis, however, a person cannot truly be saved and live in sin and be comfortable living in such a condition!  Christians need to learn how to have consistent victory over the enemies of our souls.  If you claim to know Christ and you are shrugging off known sin as no big deal, you may be in for a serious reality check when Christ returns!  Examine yourself to see whether you are in the faith (2 Corinthians 1:5).

 

The only people ready for the return of Christ are those who daily seek to bring every area of life under HIS Lordship!
