our STATEMENT OF FAITH

THE BIBLE
We believe the bible to be the infallible, inspired and authoritative Word of God, which is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, for instruction in righteousness.  In faith, we believe the Bible to be God-breathed and the complete and final authority for faith and living.
 

GOD
We believe in one God who is eternally existent, who is creator of the universe and every person who has ever lived.  We believe God has revealed himself in three persons  the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and these three persons are the one, true and living God.
 

JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ is the second person of the Godhead.  We believe Jesus Christ came in the flesh through the miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary through a virgin birth and lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and redeemed us with His blood and rose from the dead reconciling us back to God and ascended into Heaven and is now sitting at the right hand of God.  Jesus Christ will return to the earth as King of kings and Lord of lords in bodily and visible form to judge all humanity.
 

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead.  We believe the Holy Spirit convicts and regenerates sinners and indwell in believers.  The Holy Spirit leads and guides believers into all truth and illuminates understanding of the Holy Scriptures and empowers the believer to service and to live a Godly life.
 

THE CHURCH
We believe the Church is the bride and body of Christ.  We believe the Church is a spiritual organism made up of all believers in this present age.  We believe the Church is a place for worship, service, fellowship and discipleship.  We believe that it is the believers obligation to be a witness to unbelievers by word and their life, to protect and preserve the unity of the faith as ambassadors of Christ.  We believe that the unadulterated and true Word of God should be preached and applied in every believers life.
 

SALVATION
We believe that salvation is a gift of God by grace through faith and cannot be earned by the works of man, but only by the finished work of Christ on the cross.  We believe every person is born with a sin nature and to obtain salvation, you must be born again according to Romans 10:9-10, by confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, a person becomes a new creature and is saved from eternal death.

ORDINANCES – BAPTISM & THE LORD'S SUPPER (Communion)

We believe the ordinances of a believer's baptism by immersion after confession of salvation and as a testimony and identification of Christ.  We believe in partaking of the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Christ's death through the shedding of His blood, burial and resurrection.

ANGELS, SATAN AND DEMONS

We believe in the personality and existence of angels who are God's servants and messengers.  We believe that angels are not to be worshipped.  We believe the personality and existence of Satan and demons.  We believe that Satan was previously an arch angel in heaven who rebelled against God and was evicted from heaven and cast down along with a 1/3 of wicked angelic beings.  Satan is now at work against God by killing, stealing, deceiving and destroying mankind.  We believe that Satan and his demons will be thrown into the lake of fire as an eternal punishment.

FALL OF MAN AND HUMANITY

We believe that God created all humanity in His image and likeness.  We believe that humanity inherited a sin nature through the fall of Adam and that all individuals by their own choice choose to sin against God.  We believe that humanity needs forgiveness of sins and reconciliation of fellowship with God that only Jesus Christ provided through the atonement and redepmtive  work on the cross.  We believe that humanity is not able to atone and reconcile themselves.
